DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating our country's 250th birthday! But what does that mean? Who are we and where did we come from? We will explore these questions through fun books and activities this summer in our storytime for children ages 2 to 5 on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. Come and join the fun with Miss Laura! This month's schedule includes:\n\n	June 2nd   What is America? We will learn about America and the American Flag\, then make our own American Flags out of construction paper\n	June 9th   What is Iowa? We will learn about Iowa and color Iowa State symbols\n	June 16th   Where Do We Come From? We will read about the Statue of Liberty and how people say "welcome" in different languages\, then make a Statue of Liberty paper bag puppet\n	June 23rd   Heroes & Tall Tales   We will read about Paul Bunyan and Pecos Bill\, then make a paper Paul Bunyan beard to wear\n	June 30th   Happy Birthday\, America! We will read about the 4th of July and make tape resist dot marker stars\n\nThis is a free program\, and no registration is required.
