Fall Teen Lounge (6th to 12th Grades): Fridays (September to November)

Teens in middle and high school are invited to the library on Fridays for our weekly Teen Lounge from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm (January to April and September to November). Each week will feature a new activity, including games, speakers, movies, crafts, karaoke, or just a fun place to hang out! Teen Lounge is a free program, and no registration is required. This month’s planned activities include:

• September 4^th: Junk Journals Part One: We will create our own junk journals, which are creative books using recycled and everyday found materials. We will start by making covers for our journals. If you already have a junk journal, you are welcome to bring it in and work on it.
• September 11^th: Junk Journals Part Two: We will start working on prompts for our junk journals. Junk journals are creative books made using recycled and everyday found materials. If you already have a junk journal, you are welcome to bring it in and work on it.
• September 18^th: Perry Homecoming Game – No Library Activity
•  September 25^th: Hispanic Heritage Month: Nichos Shadow Boxes - Create miniature shadow boxes, or nichos, using empty matchboxes and loteria cards.
