Children who completed kindergarten through second grade are invited to come to weekly meetups on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm for stories and fun activities related to our nation's heritage. Design your own flag, learn how spies carried messages during the American Revolution, make your own spy codes, create your own Statue of Liberty torch, design a teepee, dance to 1980s music with Miss Laura, and more! This month’s schedule includes:
- June 2nd – Symbols of America – We will read about American symbols, then create a bald eagle craft
- June 9th – 50 Unique States – We will read about the 50 states and create our own states!
- June 16th - We Declare – We will read about Revolutionary War spies and make our own spy messages
- June 23rd – Where Do We Come From? – We will read about the Statue of Liberty and how immigrants come to America, then make our own Statue of Liberty Torch
- June 30th – Happy Birthday, America! – We will read about the 4th of July and make fun toys to use on Independence Day
