Tea Parties: Past and Present with Living History Farms
Cups and saucers, pots and plates - all bring to mind a relaxing and refined tea party! Learn where tea comes from, how it became a popular beverage, and how the manners of serving tea developed. Discover how Victorian England and the United States felt about tea party menus and manners, and how tea became a fixture in Iowa’s culture. The Carnegie Library Museum is pleased to welcome historians from Living History Farms on Saturday, January 11, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Join us for this free presentation on the history of tea parties for all ages. No registration is required.
