Description
- Proactively maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and improve equipment and the facilities in a timely manner to assure that production and uptime goals are met
- Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Monitors company safety under the direction of the VP of Manufacturing
- Participates in Press Inspections
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, including lubrication, replacements of worn parts, filters, and equipment inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and controls.
- Provide support to VP of Manufacturing with timely updates on equipment and facility issues
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Ensures that all activity related to this role is accomplished ethically.
- Supports the use of the functional organization and enforces its use.
- Maintains in good order.
- Maintains the working area in a neat, orderly, and haphazard-free condition.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Understand basic English as necessary to react to the demands of a factory floor.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the job's physical demands, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Installing new production equipment.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
- Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed
- Familiarity with hand tools, heavy equipment, and machinery
- Follow instructions from the VP of Manufacturing, shift supervisors, and maintenance lead to perform manual labor tasks.
- Ability to use common sense to carry out written or verbal instructions.
Preparing and submitting maintenance reports. - Ability to lift to 60 pounds. Body movements include walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Possess good hand-eye coordination.
- Must have good communication skills to interact with various departments.
