The City of Perry is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administration Clerk. Under general supervision of the Police Chief, this position performs responsible and confidential duties for the Chief of Police and City Administration. This position will make independent decisions within the scope of established orders, policies, or rules, on assignment requests from the Chief and City Administrative staff.  Completes important and specialized assignments as delegated by the Chief of Police and City Administration.. Primary Responsibility: 
The following duties are normal for this position.  They are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Maintain record of hours worked by Police personnel for preparation of payroll.
  • Maintain Police department personnel files.
  • Maintain Police correspondence. 
  • Process all departmental bills for payment and retain copies.
  • Assists in obtaining price quotes, ordering supplies, and completing purchase orders.
  • Maintenance of police vehicles.  Schedules routine maintenance and repairs.  Keeps detailed records of repairs and cost of operation of the vehicles.
  • Takes minutes as required, including monthly management meetings.
  • Performs other related work as directed by the Chief of Police.
  • Maintains an organized filing system for all correspondence and other paperwork received and generated and processes other confidential correspondence.
  • Assists in applying for and maintains records for current grants.
  • Assists in answering phone calls for City Administration. 
  • Assists City Clerk and Finance officer with payroll, invoice filing and other administrative duties. 
  • Assists with various city permits, including Alcohol, Tobacco, and Solicitor permits.
  • Other duties may be required and assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:
Pay range: $22-$26 Per Hour, depending on qualifications.
